The name for our farm comes from the walking, biking and horseback riding trail that's a few steps across the road.  It runs from Sedro-Woolley to Concrete.  We use it often, especially for bike riding. To find out more about the trail, visit the Skagit Parks link at the bottom of the page.
Our 13 acres was originally purchased as a 20 acre parcel by my grandparents in 1925. They built the little cottage style farm house in 1934 from local lumber. In the 1960's the construction of Highway 20 took 7 acres. We bought the place in 2004, with a first project of replacing the collapsed barn. Grandma Mary lived here until she passed away at the age of 101. She attributed her longevity to living on the farm and eating fresh, wholesome home grown food. There were always flowers planted around the house and glad bulbs planted with vegetables in the garden.

Our Goals
The primary goal for the farm at this time is to build up the soil, which has been used as pasture for the last 80 years. We use organic gardening and farming practices as much as possible. Eventually, we hope the farm will be self-supporting, earning enough money to pay taxes, insurance and other expenses while providing extended family with fresh vegetables and fruit as well as beautiful bouquets year round.
